Global Development Opportunities for Leaders Working in Arts, Screen, and Creative Sectors

What is happening with our ICE participants? #2

ICE 2011/12 is now well underway, with all 6 of our participants out on placement. Soon, the first of these will be returning! Focussing on out second three out here but check out the news on ICE for updates on the rest.

Following Anna, Tiernan and Paul, Sally Hobson of EIF was next to depart! Sally developed her own placement taking in a visit to the West Kowloon Cultural District in Hong Kong, Australian Performing Arts Market in Adelaide and is now working with Carriageworks in Sydney, Australia. Sally has put together a hefty itinerary with lots of meetings with interesting and influential cultural operators. Aiming for both quantity and quality, we are sure that she will return with a head full of ideas developed through these conversations she’s been having.

Sarah Tierney, leaving behind her Head of Digital Content post, has left for Australia and will be joining Tiernan at FORM. The two of them will work with Lynda Dorrington and when Tiernan returns Sarah will continue the work with them. There were no doubts about FORM having enough activity to support two placements….the ambition of ‘building a state of creativity’ in Western Australia is a great one and will certainly benefit from Sarah’s dynamic approach. Keen to hear how she is settling in and will report back soon.

Sarah Raffel, our final participant to leave, is now safely in Hong Kong with Goods of Desire, working with Benjamin Lau. Immediately Sarah has been able to get started, and has been developing a network of local contacts to draw on. Able to draw similarities between G.O.D. and her own company, Brazen, Sarah is starting to imagine how her time in HK will pan out. We’re sure she will have an amazing experience.
